What options do we have to expand?

Although there are two options we are considering, we are open to whatever opportunities God provides for us. Here are two potential options:

Building or expanding on our existing property.
Acquiring and renovating a building in the area.

Why are we doing this?

Our current space limits us from reaching our ultimate goal of seeing 10,000 lives REDeemed.

What type of building are we looking for?

Our building plan includes a 500+ seat sanctuary, expanded kids space, and spacious lobby and Growth Track areas.

When will construction or renovations begin?

We hope to start by the end of 2023, but ultimately it is in God’s timing.

What is the estimated cost to build or acquire and renovate the building?

The cost is highly dependent on our ultimate decision to build new or to acquire and renovate. Raising $1 million opens multiple options to us.

Where does the proposed money go?

We are proposing this breakdown for the campaign funds:

$800K - Building & Renovations
$100K - Online Impact
$50K - IMPACT Initiatives
$50K - Additional Expansion Costs

What will the mortgage amount be when we go to borrow for a property or building renovations?

It is recommended for healthy churches to have a mortgage payment that is between 15% and 25% of their budget.

Will we keep the Barn/Steeple locations?

We are blessed and incredibly appreciative for the assets that the Lord has provided us thus far. We are seeking the Lord as we decide how to best utilize our existing spaces. This includes considering creative options to use our properties for His glory.

How will I know how much to give?

Pray daily and allow God to open your heart and direct you about your commitment. Through this time He will show you what to give.

Does my gift to the Forward Campaign replace or exceed my tithe?

Your gift to the campaign is above and beyond your tithe.

When does my giving commitment start?

You may begin giving at any time. November 1, 2022 is our church-wide, recommended start date.

How can I keep track of my giving?

You will receive quarterly giving updates via mail and/or email. If you give online, you can also see the progress toward your giving commitment in our secure online portal. redchurch.cc/give

The most convenient way to give is by setting up a recurring gift online. You can give using your card or bank account. Recurring giving can be set up in just a few minutes, and there are flexible options for your budget. You can also edit your recurring gift at any time all while ensuring ongoing ministry support.

When will we make our commitments?

Commitment Sunday is October 23, 2022. Many of our families will make their commitments on that date. Some will make their commitments sooner.

What can I give?

Gifts can be in any amount and in any form. Many people will give online, in person, by check, or through their bank. There are other options to give like stocks, bitcoin, real estate, etc. We are happy to work with you so that you can give in a way that is effective for you and advances the vision of the church.

How do I give?

There are four main ways to give toward the Forward Campaign:

‍Online: Set up recurring giving in less than 5 minutes using our secure online giving portal. You can also make a lump sum, one-time gift.

‍In Person: Give using an envelope during one of our Sunday services.
‍Mail: Send a check using our postage-paid reply envelopes. You can call the church office at 757-228-1502 to request envelopes.

Does my small gift matter?

Absolutely! A small gift for one is a large gift for another. God does not command us all to give the same amount, but He does call us to give.

And... when you give, someone has agreed to match all the giving up to $100,000 so your gift will be doubled! So, even a small amount can help!

I am joining the Forward Campaign after it has already started. Is that a problem?

No, you are more than welcome to participate and begin your giving commitment according to the date you joined the campaign.
